Frequently Used Plastic Material and Examples

ABS

Created using a specialized emulsion, Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) is a cost-effective thermoplastic with high resistance to corrosion and low melting temperature.

Nylon

Nylon material is sturdy and wear-resistant, and it is often used in the automotive, electronics, machinery, and aviation fields.

POM

Polyoxymethylene (POM) has high hardness, strength and rigidity , good self-lubrication and good fatigue resistance in a wide range of temperature and humidity. POM is widely used as sliding and rotating mechanical parts,  gears, levers etc.

PMMA

Acrylic is comparable to polycarbonate in terms of properties yet available at a lower cost. This transparent polymer is also ideal for multiple projects for its tensile and flexural strength.

PE

Made from petroleum, High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) boasts high tensile strength and impact resistance marks while also having a high melting point.

PP

Being food-grade, polypropylene can be applied for consumer goods and medical products due to its sanitary properties.

TPE

TPE soft rubber has the high elasticity of rubber and is often used in toys, daily necessities, sports protective gear, and electronic products.

TPU

Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) has elastic and excellent resistance to oil and grease that makes them ideal materials for the field.

PC

Polycarbonate is a solid and durable injection molding material commonly used for electrical and automotive components.

Plastic Injection Molding FAQs

Q1: What is plastic injection molding?

Plastic injection molding mass-produces precision plastic parts by injecting molten material into molds, where it cools into finished components. The process ensures consistent, high-volume output with tight tolerances.

Q2: What type of plastic material is best for my design/component?

Your product's requirements dictate material choice – our experts match plastics to your needs, then verify through trial molds to ensure perfect fit for form, function and quality.

Q3: How can I get a Quotation?
  • 3D CAD files (STEP/IGS/X_T)
  • 2D drawings with specs (tolerances/material/surface)
  • Projected volumes (MOQ/annual forecast)
Q4: Is it possible to know the operation status of my products without visiting your company?

Our team delivers detailed production schedules with weekly visual reports (photos/videos) to keep you informed of machining progress.

Q5: What is your MOQ?

No minimum order quantity required – higher volumes mean better pricing. Feel free to place trial orders to evaluate our quality and service firsthand.

Q6: How do you guarantee the quality of mass production?

Our rigorous quality control guarantees uniform excellence: Approved mold samples become your production benchmark. Throughout mass production, specialized QC teams conduct inspections every two hours while strictly following approved specs. Before shipment, we implement AQL random sampling and full inspections to ensure quality compliance at every production phase.

Q7: How do you provide after - sales service?

We offer a 2-year warranty service starting from mold delivery. Should any mold components get damaged during this period, we will provide free replacement parts to ensure continuous production.
